Necessities |

The
first thing you'll need is a MUD Client.
A MUD client makes it easier to play on a MUD. You can always
use a straight telnet session, but take our word for it..you
want a MUD client. You can download either of these two very
nice MUD clients by clicking on their name. |

The next step will be to decide what type of MUD fits what you
want.
This is a very important decision, as not all MUDs follow the
same set of rules. If you're into the social aspect of MUDing,
you will want to choose a non-Pkill MUD. If you're unsure what
Pkill is, consult our FAQ page.
All MUDs also do not have the same theme. There are MUDs for
any time period, any situation, fantasy, medieval, etc. Choose
the one that's right for you.
Some MUDs require that you "roleplay". If you're unsure
what roleplaying means, consult our FAQ
page. By not following the particular rules of the MUD,
you may not be welcome there. |
 |
Once you've decided what type of MUD you're looking for:
The final step is to pick a MUD that's up and running. The most
comprehensive list there is can be found at Mud
Connector.
